Today marks the one-year anniversary of the merger of French Gerleman and IAC Supply Solutions to form Agilix Solutions, a multi-regional distribution powerhouse on the leading edge of product and service solutions. We’re dedicating this article to recapping and celebrating all that’s happened over the course of the past year and providing a preview of what’s yet to come as we continue to grow the brand and the business.
Merging Two Family-Owned Companies to Create a Stronger Future
This merger created one new company with a larger size and expanded regional footprint, to meet a series of shared goals. We aimed to bring a greater depth of resources and expertise to our customers, provide the product knowledge required to best represent our industry-leading manufacturer partners, and enable the scale to support our employees in meeting their business and career goals.
For both companies, this merger has ushered in the next phase of our business as we serve customers, manufacturers, and team members into the next hundred years.
What We’ve Accomplished So Far
We had high expectations for the merger. Even so, we have managed to perform beyond our goals. We achieved double digit growth in 2021 and the first half of 2022. In Electrical Wholesaling’s latest ranking of the top 150 electrical distributors, we were ranked #42 in the country.
While supply chain and delivery challenges have had an impact on our ability to always meet customer demand (as they have in every industry), we continue to look high and low for new and better ways to deliver exceptional service and products to our customers.
On the employment front, we’re creating new job opportunities in the communities we serve. We’ve created 15 new jobs across our company, primarily in business development, operations, and product marketing roles.
What’s Next for Agilix Solutions?
In the coming months, you will see more visual representations of the emergence of the Agilix Solutions brand. Building signage and fleet graphics will begin appearing in all markets before the end of the year. We also plan to launch a new combined eCommerce platform for Agilix Solutions to replace the two legacy platforms in early Fall 2022.
We also intend to continue hiring. We’re aiming in the next year to create 16 additional positions in business development and various support roles throughout the company.
Finally, we remain steadfast and committed to working on behalf of our customers, through thick and thin. We are building Agilix Solutions to be the strongest company we can to support all your needs into the future.
